Monica Torti is a classical guitarist and sound artist creating immersive musical worlds between classical guitar, live looping, and electronic sound
Her work transforms the guitar into a space for sound exploration, memory, and transformation.
Moving between interpretation, improvisation, and composition, she develops a personal language rooted in classical tradition and expanded through contemporary sound practices.

Biography
Monica Torti is a classical guitarist and sound artist exploring the boundaries between classical guitar, live looping, and electronic music. Through projects that combine interpretation, improvisation, and sound creation, she develops a poetic and immersive universe where tradition and innovation meet.
Active in Switzerland and internationally, she performs as a soloist, with orchestra, and in chamber music across numerous festivals and venues throughout Europe. A prizewinner of several national and international competitions, she has been invited to festivals such as the Rencontres Guitares de Bulle, the Festival International 6 Cordes au Fil de l’Allier, and the Festival Internacional de Guitarras de Haría, and has shared the stage with artists including Thibault Cauvin, Laurent Boutros, and Johan Smith.
She holds a Master’s degree in Music Education from the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) as well as a Master’s degree in classical guitar from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. Monica is currently developing several artistic projects: the classical recital, Identity - dedicated to the guitar and the looper pedal - as well as BLÙ, a creation in which the guitar interacts with electronics and contemporary soundscapes.
Through this exploration of timbre, sonic space, and new forms of recital, Monica Torti creates sensitive, immersive, and resolutely contemporary musical experiences.
Concerts
Monica Torti performs regularly across Europe in solo recitals, chamber music projects, and orchestral collaborations.
Her performances have been presented in Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, and the Netherlands.
